Lisa McAuley will look to ensure World Travel Holdings UK (WTH UK) is best placed to “capitalise on growth” as she takes the helm of the company as managing director
McAuley will succeed outgoing MD Alison Earnshaw when she takes on the role at the firm, which operates Cruise118.com, SixStarCruises and RiverVoyages, on 1 October 2025.
The move marks McAuley’s return to the cruise sector, having previously been managing director for Silversea in 2015.
Since then, she has held senior positions with Dnata and Silver Travel Advisor was most recently group strategy director for Hays Travel.
“Lisa’s extensive background in the cruise industry, along with her strategic insight and proven success, will enhance our already outstanding team and propel WTH UK forward,” said Jeff Tolkin, co-chair and CEO for World Tavel Holdings, WTH UK’s parent company.
“Her professional expertise is matched by her collaborative nature, genuine demeanour, and straightforward approach, making her an excellent fit for our UK organisation.”
McAuley said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be joining WTH UK, further building upon what Alison and the team have achieved. I look forward to working with the team on both current and new initiatives, and ensuring we’re best placed to capitalise on growth.”
McAuley will be based out of the WTH UK office in Chorley and will lead a team of directors who oversee all UK functions including business solutions, finance, marketing, sales and customer experience, product and commercial and human resources.
