Earnshaw praises ‘exceptional team’ following WTH departure

Alison Earnshaw WTH

Alison Earnshaw has said she will be leaving World Travel Holdings UK (WTH) “in good hands” following her departure from the company after almost 17 years

Having previously head roles in product and commercial capacities with the firm, for the past seven years Earnshaw has led the UK team as managing director.

The company, which owns Six Star Cruises, Cruise118 and River Voyages, confirmed on Tuesday (11 February) that Earnshaw would be stepping down from the business and away from a full-time role for personal reasons.

Earnshaw, who was inducted into the CLIA Hall of Fame last year, will now support WTH UK with the appointment of, and transition to, a new managing director.

“I’ve been part of a huge success story at WTH UK and am very proud to have led the business for the last seven years and of our many accomplishments, achievements and awards over the years since we started trading in 2008,” she said.

“I have been privileged to work with some exceptional people internally and externally during my time at WTH and will be leaving the business in good hands with the strongest executive and management teams we’ve ever had. I have no doubt the business will continue to go from strength to strength.”

Jeff Tolkin, co-chair and CEO for World Travel Holdings, WTH UK’s US-based parent company, praised Earnshaw’s “exceptional leadership” and “impactful contributions” over the last seven years for being key factors in the growth of the firm’s UK cruise business.

“I am confident in the leadership team she has built and grateful that she will be an integral part of the transition to a new managing director. We look forward to continued success in our UK division and wish Alison all the best,” he added.
