According to CLIA, an impressive 11.3 million cruise passengers travelled to the Caribbean islands last year – an annual increase of 6 per cent. Departing from Fort Lauderdale, the ship will cruise to Half Moon Cay, Grand Turk, Amber Cove (Dominican Republic), Bonaire, Curacao and Aruba.

For a slightly longer cruise, HAL has an 11-night Caribbean and Panama Canal Sunfarer itinerary aboard Nieuw Amsterdam, departing from Fort Lauderdale and visiting Half Moon Cay, Aruba, Curacao, Cartagena (Colombia), the Panama Canal & Gatun Lake, Colon (Panama) and Puerto Limon (Costa Rica).

Alternatively, for clients only able to get away for a week, the line has a seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruise holiday departing this autumn and winter, visiting Grand Turk, San Juan (Puerto Rico), St Thomas and Half Moon Cay.
