Hurtigruten unveils 2022/23 Norway coastal voyages
Hurtigruten has released its 2022/23 coastal programme, featuring 34 ports along the Norwegian coastline.
The itineraries – of which there are 16 to choose from – will explore “historic cities and idyllic villages, local wildlife and nature, and majestic mountain ranges as guest travel along the iconic backbone of Norway”, the line said.
Hurtigruten UK & Ireland general manager Anthony Daniels said: “We are delighted to reveal our coastal programme for 2022/23. We’ve seen an increased desire from our guests to book even further in advance for future travel, and their appetite to venture to Norway hasn’t wavered, as we continue to receive enquiries to join our coastal sailings.
“With 128 years’ experience sailing the coast of Norway we are the true experts when it comes to sailing the coast of Norway and we use this expertise and local knowledge to create memorable and authentic experiences for all our guests.”
Hurtigruten has a Northern Lights promise programme. If during a voyage to Norway guests do not get to see the lights, the line will provide another six or seven-day Classic Voyage free of charge. The promise is applicable on select voyages between 1 October 2022 and 31 March 2023.
The line has also launched its Dover 2022/23 season, extending its existing programme to include nine new itineraries. Sailings will take place throughout the year on the refurbished MS Maud and range from 10 to 21 nights in duration.
A highlight is the 22-day Norwegian Coast and Svalbard Autumn cruise, which will visit “hidden treasures such as the village of Husøya”, the line said.
Daniels added: “Since launching our Dover departure sailings, we’ve seen an increased demand and appetite for no-fly cruises that venture closer to home.
“We’re delighted to be expanding on our inaugural Dover season with a series of new and unique itineraries, offering our guests the opportunity to experience the Norwegian coastline and beyond like never before.”
In 2020, Hurtigruten signed a deal with Widgety to make the latest information and content from the expedition brand available to UK travel agents.
