Holland America Line launches 2017 Alaska & Europe Cruise Holidays brochure

Holland America Line, ship, travel, cruise

Holland America Line has debuted a 40-page brochure, which previews cruise holidays for summer 2017, featuring itineraries on board Holland America Line’s fleet of premium ships including the new Pinnacle class ship – ms Koningsdam.

Holidaymakers can enjoy early booking benefits when they book one of Holland America Line’s summer 2017 cruises by 18 November 2016.

Early booking benefits
Travellers will receive additional Explore 4 benefits on bookings made by 18 November 2016. This includes:
• A signature drinks package worth up to US$1,400
• Speciality dining experience
• Reduced fares for kids
• Low deposit

What’s more, guests who book a Signature, Vista, Neptune or Pinnacle Suite, receive in addition free gratuities and US$ 200 internet credit.

Alaska- celebrating 70 years of leading Alaska discoveries
To celebrate its 70th anniversary next year, there will be six premium ships, including Signature-class ships ms Nieuw Amsterdam and ms Eurodam, sailing from Vancouver and Seattle to Alaska between May and September 2017.

Itineraries available include a seven night roundtrip Vancouver sailing Inside Passage calling at Tracy Arm, Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan, including a full day cruising Glacier Bay National Park and two days of sailing the scenic Inside Passage. Prices start at £699 per person for a 7-night cruise in May 2017.

For the full Alaskan coastal experience, ms Amsterdam will cruise the 14-night Great Land Explorer roundtrip Seattle with additional calls into remote Kodiak and Homer. Holland America Line is also offering 10-20-night Land + Sea Journeys, which include up to three days in the vast wilderness of Denali National Park staying at Holland America Line’s newly restored McKinley Chalets Resort, a ride on the scenic glass-domed McKinley Explorer train from Anchorage as well as a three to seven night Alaska cruise. Prices start from £1,049 per person for an 11-night Denali Land+Sea Journey.

Europe – seven dedicated ships for 2017 European cruises
After its unveiling and maiden voyage earlier this year, the new Pinnacle ship ms Koningsdam returns to Europe for 2017. Offering seven to 14-night cruises, the ship will be deployed to Baltic, Fjords and Northern Isles cruises from Amsterdam between May and September. There will also be some longer spring Mediterranean cruises from Civitavecchia, the port of Rome. A seven night Viking Sagas Fjords Cruise onboard ms Koningsdam starts from £849 per person based on 14 May 2017.

Mediterranean cruises offer a choice of marquee cities combined with more unusual destinations, long days ashore and overnights in port. For example a 12-night Adriatic Dream cruise departing 27 April 2017 from Civitavecchia (Rome) onboard ms Westerdam visits Messina (Sicily), Valletta (Malta – overnight onboard); Mgarr (Gozo), Corfu, Dubrovnik (Croatia), Kotor (Montenegro), Korcula (Croatia), Koper (Slovenia) and ends with an overnight onboard in Venice. Prices start from £1,399 per person.

With seven of Holland America Line’s ships, including Pinnacle & Vista-class ships, heading to Europe, it means there will be more private balconies and more five star amenities. ms Zuiderdam, for example, offers a programme of 12-night Baltic cruises roundtrip Copenhagen with an overnight in the city and ports of call at St. Petersburg (overnight), Stockholm, and Copenhagen, whilst the flagship ms Rotterdam cruises seven to 14-night Fjords, Baltic and North Cape itineraries.

On board these ships, Holland America Line’s new partnerships with BBC Earth, Rijksmuseum at Sea, the Music Walk, featuring Billboard Onboard, classical music from Lincoln Centre Stage and B.B. Kings All Star blues band, will enhance the experience for guests.

Explore & Collect
Collectors Voyage guests can have longer trips by combining two or three cruises together. These trips of 14 to 36 nights enable guests to see more of these spectacular regions without repeating ports and enjoying “Collector” savings. These benefits include additional onboard savings such as staying in the same stateroom throughout the duration of the holiday. “Elegant Explorer”, the 835-guest ms Prinsendam offers adventurous itineraries such as a 14-night Burgundian Explorer, which cruises the Gironde Estuary to Bordeaux, or a 20-night immersive North Cape, Spitzbergen and Icelandic Explorer departing 15 July. Cruises onboard ms Prinsendam start from £1,149 per person
