Holland America Line has extended its pause of cruise operations and cancelled additional departures from the port of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, in 2020, as well as select Hawaii itineraries for early 2021.

The cruise line has said that this is due to “travel and port restrictions continuing for the near future due to global health concerns”.

The following cruises have been cancelled:

Eurodam:

•  26 September 2020, 22-day Panama Canal cruise from Vancouver to Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Koningsdam:

• 26 September 2020, seven-day Pacific Northwest cruise from Vancouver to San Diego, California
• 16 January and 2 February 2021, Circle Hawaii Voyages roundtrip from San Diego

Maasdam:

•     21 September 2020, 16-day Mexico and Sea of Cortez itinerary from Vancouver to San Diego

Noordam:

•     27 September 2020, 14-day North Pacific Crossing from Vancouver to Yokohama, Japan

Volendam:

•     30 September, 3 October and 10 October 2020, three- and seven-day Pacific Northwest and coastal cruises from Vancouver

Westerdam:

•  20 September 2020, 17-day Circle Hawaii cruise roundtrip from Vancouver
•  7 October 2020, 23-day Inca Discovery voyage from Vancouver to San Antonio (Santiago), Chile

All shorter segments within the listed cruise departures have also been cancelled, along with Collectors’ Voyages that combine back-to-back cruises including the above departure dates.

Those with impacted cruises automatically will be cancelled and guests will receive a future cruise credit, which is valid for 12 months from the date of issue and may be used to book sailings departing up to 31 December 2022.

Guests who prefer a full refund must fill in a ‘cancellation preferences’ form by 15 July.

Holland America Line is protecting base agent commissions on bookings for cancelled cruises that were paid in full and for the total amount of the FCC when rebooked.

The cruise line has cancelled all 2020 Alaska, Europe and Canada/New England cruises. In addition, Amsterdam will not operate its 79-day Grand Africa Voyage.
