G Adventures’ Change Makers incentive returns for 2020

G Adventures has launched a second Change Makers incentive, following on from the success of its first summit, held in Peru in June.

The small group adventure operator has announced it is carrying the incentive forward to a new location in 2020. The Change Makers challenge incentivises agents to focus on changing people’s lives through travel and invites them to rediscover why they love selling travel.

The challenge runs until 31 January 2020 and culminates in a summit, to be hosted in a mystery location in April 2020. Here, more than 150 change makers from the UK & Ireland, Central Europe, South Africa, Canada, the US and Australia and New Zealand will be brought together, including members of G Adventures’ team of global purpose specialists.

The summit will consist of a week-long trip where agents see the impact of community tourism, as well as destination highlights to build their product knowledge. At the end of the trip agents will take part in an immersive G Adventures experience.

All agents will automatically receive one entry per traveller booked and there will be wildcard opportunities throughout 2019. In addition, a ‘social good’ category – with a deadline of 31 December 2019 – will reward agents who tell a story about how they have done work that gives back to their community or the travel community at large.

G Adventures managing director Brian Young said: “The Change Makers summit was an incredibly powerful opportunity for our agency partners to experience a new take on the traditional fam trip, seeing not only what G Adventures does in the destinations we visit but why we do it.

“The feedback from the agents following the summit was that meeting the local people, visiting social enterprise projects and seeing first hand the benefits of community tourism, powered by the trips that they sell was, quite simply, life changing.”
