SeaDream Yacht Club has appointed former Cunard business manager, business development and engagement James Scott as its new director of trade sales UK and Ireland

Scott, who was most recently sales manager UK and Ireland for Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, confirmed his new role with SeadDream via LinkedIn on Monday (9 February).

He began his career in travel in 2013 as a personal cruise specialist for Holland America Line and Carnival UK sister brand Seabourn. In 2016 he became south business development representative for the lines, and then joined Norwegian Cruise Line as business development manager, south, in 2018.

In 2019 he joined Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings sister brand Oceania Cruises as business development manager UK and Ireland. He was then promoted to sales manager, south UK in 2021 before joining Cunard in 2023.

At Cunard he held responsibility for defining the line’s trading and investment approach through the development of business plans with the brand’s travel agent partners.

In a LinkedIn post, Scott said: “I’m honoured to take on the responsibility of continuing to grow the incredible SeaDream Yacht Club brand across the UK & Ireland. I’m excited to get started.”

In 2023 Scott was named Cruise Line Sales Star of the Year at the Cruise Star Awards.
