Explora Journeys’ executive director UK and Ireland has stepped down after 10 months in the role

Tate Husband joined the company in November 2025 with a remit to optimise trade partner relationships and drive business growth.

Explora Journeys has confirmed he has left the company to return to the hospitality sector, in which he has more than 25 years of experience with brands such as The Langham London, Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants and Marriott International.

Antonio Paradiso, vice president and managing director UK and Ireland, and Priti Mehta, senior head of sales, will continue to oversee Explora Journeys’ travel advisor strategy and relations, the line confirmed.

A spokesperson for the company said: “Tate has decided to return to the hospitality sector as he embarks on the next chapter of his career.

“He’s been a valued member of the team and we’re very grateful for everything he contributed. We wish him all the very best for the future.”

Explora Journeys took delivery of its third ship during a handover ceremony in Genoa, Italy in July.

Explora III will spend its inaugural season sailing in Northern Europe, Iceland, Greenland and North America before marking its debut Alaska season in 2027.

Construction continues on the next three vessels in the line’s planned fleet – Explora IV, Explora V and Explora VI – all scheduled to enter service in 2027 and 2028.
