Everything you need to know about Brilliant Lady

Virgin Voyages, Brilliant Lady

Sponsored by Virgin Voyages

From new shows and dining concepts to travel agent incentives and savings for Sailors, the launch of Virgin Voyages’ fourth ship, Brilliant Lady, has sent ripples across the cruise industry

Well known for its pioneering spirit and fresh take on cruising, Virgin Voyages is cementing its reputation as one of the world’s leading cruise lines with the introduction of its new 2,762-passenger Lady Ship.

Brilliant Lady kicked off its inaugural season of sailings last week from New York before repositioning to the Caribbean for her Miami MerMaiden [debut] in October.

Prior to this, the line invited 1,300 First Mates [travel agents] onboard for a UK launch event in August. Agents in attendance were treated to guided tours of the ship’s new and upgraded facilities, wellness spaces and social hubs, while a handful of immersive shows were also given their first run-out.

This included Murder in the Manor, an 80s-inspired murder mystery blending true crime with pop hits, and Up With a Twist, the latest instalment in the line’s Supper Club series.

Additional new features on display included the redesigned Roundabout, which has evolved to increase the amount of open space, and the new Spanish-inspired eatery Rojo by Razzle Dazzle.

Speaking on a panel during the event in the ship’s Red Room theatre, UK sales director SJ Walker cited the line’s extended itineraries, incentives, UK-focused promotions and simplified pricing as attractive propositions to the travel agent community.

She said: “If you have a client who wants a kid-free holiday, what is there not to love about our fresh take on food, immersive entertainment, where you can participate or spectate, and our original productions?

“We have incredible repeat rates, new destinations, and lots of excitement from the UK [market]. Our average selling value is increasing.”

To help drive more bookings and enquiries to agents, the line is currently offering 70 per cent off second Sailors plus instant savings of £79 per person per night on select Caribbean Voyages booked before 10 September.

This offer is running concurrently with the line’s First Mate Loot September/October campaign, where agents can cash in on Double Loot and earn £10 per booking on all Virgin Voyages sailings. Or agents can receive Triple Loot, equalling £15 per booking on Europe 2026 and select 7+ Caribbean voyages.
