About Budapest

Divided in half by the Danube, it’s a wonderful sight to see the parliament building, inspired by London’s Westminster Palace, lit up at night.

The quieter Buda side includes the castle complex, now a museum, and the intriguing Hospital in the Rock, a secret underground hospital used during the Second World War and Hungarian revolution. On the Pest side of the river, the Andrassy Avenue leads to the statue-lined Heroes’ Square.
