Cunard is looking to reach more than 250 travel agents across more than 60 stores as part of its first nationwide sales blitz of 2025
A five-strong team will hit UK high streets from 17 to 28 February to deliver in-person news about the luxury cruise line’s new promotion for selected 2025 voyages, which launches on 19 February.
Led by Tom Mahoney, director of UK sales, and supported by business manager John Garbutt and regional sales managers Savannah Fryer and James Atherton, the team will share brand information and digital tools available for agents, like its Asset Bank library and points-based loyalty scheme, Shine Rewards Club.
The team will also be discussing plans for Cunard’s return to Liverpool this year, with Queen Anne arriving in the city on 26 May, a year on from its naming ceremony.
The blitz will also include visits to three travel agent head offices: Sovereign Cruise Club in Reading, Panache Cruises in Chorley and Gold Medal Travel in Leyland.
In addition, the sales team will be armed with Shine Rewards Club points that agents will be able to earn.
Mahoney said: “Queen Anne’s launch has been a huge step forward for the brand, and as we evolve the way we communicate the Cunard difference it is key that our travel agent partners can effectively sell Cunard as an iconic luxury brand, without compromise.
“We are as committed as ever to working together to create unforgettable experiences for our mutual customers, and these visits are a brilliant opportunity for the Cunard team to learn more about our travel agent partners, whilst providing key brand direction and enhancing our relationships.”
To celebrate its partnership with Michelin-starred chef Nathan Outlaw, the line is also giving 10 travel agents the chance to put their culinary skills to the test during an exclusive masterclass with the acclaimed restauranteur.
The event will be hosted on 12 March at Chewton Glen country hotel in Hampshire, where competition winners will be treated to a live demonstration from Nathan as well as a Q&A session.
In addition, the luxury cruise line is inviting 17 travel agent partners to experience the award-winning West End show Pride & Prejudice* (*sort of) – which is being performed aboard Queen Anne’s maiden season – at venues in London and Glasgow.
The London show will take place at Richmond Theatre on 26 February, with the Glasgow edition scheduled for Theatre Royal Glasgow on 6 March. Winners will be notified from 10 February.
