Luxury cruise line Cunard has announced its 2025 schedule of travel agent ship visits and familiarisation trips
The line will host an initial wave of four ship visit events onboard Queen Mary 2 and new ship Queen Anne in Southampton and Liverpool this year, starting from 16 May and running to 19 September.
Agents can register for one of 220 places via the Shine Rewards platform, the cruise line’s agent loyalty programme. A second wave of ship visits will be announced in the autumn.
The visits will focus on how travel agents can “communicate the Cunard difference” to customers, with experiences including dining and entertainment options.
Cunard has also revealed its 2025 programme of familiarisation trips, with a total of three departures, all roundtrip from Southampton, taking place from July to September. The fam trips will be a mixture of four- and seven-night sailings, with up to 38 trade partners on each.
Onboard, agents will join drink receptions, training workshops, a speciality dining experience and shore excursions. Groups will also benefit from both hosted experiences and free time. Wi-Fi will be provided and hotel and dining service charges covered.
The fam trips feature a 4-11 July departure onboard Queen Anne to the Norwegian Fjords, a 10-14 September sailing on Queen Mary 2 visiting Rotterdam and Zeebrugge and a 6-10 November itinerary onboard Queen Victoria to Amsterdam.
Tom Mahoney, director of UK sales at Cunard, said: “There is no better way to understand the magic of a Cunard voyage than by stepping on board and experiencing our luxury proposition firsthand.
“Our 2025 programme of fam trips and ship visits is designed to empower our valued travel agent partners with the knowledge and confidence to sell Cunard with passion and expertise.
“As we continue to strengthen our relationships with the trade, we look forward to welcoming more agents on board our iconic fleet and showcasing why Cunard remains the pinnacle of luxury ocean travel.”
