Cunard has reported record-breaking bookings in 2024, following the launch of Queen Anne earlier this summer and the early release of three new cruise programmes
The line, which recorded an additional 73,000 guest reservations between 1 January and 31 October, says it is the highest-ever number of bookings for this period, representing a 23 per cent year-on-year increase on 2023.
Both the UK and North American markets contributed to Cunard’s success, with a 24 per cent increase in guests booking from the UK and 29 per cent increase from North America compared to 2023.
More than half of bookings in this period originated from outside the UK, with international markets seeing a 22 per cent increase in sales, while the line saw a 49 per cent rise in first-time guests choosing to sail with Cunard compared to the same period in 2023.
The line attributes the successful booking period to the arrival of its newest ship, Queen Anne, back in May, as well as the launch of three new cruise programmes for winter 2026, summer 2026 and winter 2027 which also drove demand.
One of the recently launched cruise programmes will include an exclusive partnership with Michelin-starred chef Nathan Outlaw, the latest instalment of the line’s culinary residency programme.
Katie McAlister, President of Cunard, said: “As we look ahead to 2025, we are proud to report record-breaking bookings that demonstrate the continued strength of Cunard’s commercial performance.
“The launch of Queen Anne has been a key driver of this success, increasing our capacity and capturing the imagination of both loyal and first-time guests.
“These results are a testament to the hard work of our teams and partners worldwide, who ensure Cunard remains at the forefront of luxury travel.”
