Stephen Joyner has been promoted to the role of senior sales manager, UK & Ireland as Crystal Cruises brings its trade reservations team in-house
Joyner, who joined Crystal in January from A-Rosa, will be responsible for growing trade distribution and commercial reach while enhancing the line’s support for its UK & Ireland trade partners.
He will be supported by Giorgio Costa who recently joined as a regional sales manager for Europe to oversee Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Turkey and other key European markets for the luxury cruise line.
Joyner’s promotion comes after Andrew Magowan left his role as vice president of sales UK & EMEA for Crystal Cruises last month after more than a year in the role.
In a statement provided to Cruise Trade News, Matias Lira, Crystal Cruises SVP trade sales for LATAM, UK and EMEA, said: “We wish Andy well in his new ventures and thank him for his contributions in helping establish Crystal within the UK & Ireland.
“Thanks to the existing foundation, we are able to ensure that Stephen Joyner, senior manager of trade sales for UK & Ireland, along with his supportive team of both inside sales and newly created regional sales managers will be able to continue the brand growth, recognition and admiration from our incredible advisor communities.”
Crystal beings trade reservations teams in house
The line has also made the decision to bade its North American trade reservations team exclusively in the line’s Miami headquarters, while localised teams will now be based in London and Melbourne to enhance operational efficiency.
Mary-Beth Meadowcroft, SVP of global sales & reservations for Crystal, said: “Bringing our trade reservations team in-house is a strategic move that underscores our commitment to providing the highest level of service to our travel partners and guests.
“By centralising our operations, we can ensure more consistent, efficient and personalised support which is crucial for fostering strong relationships and delivering the exceptional experiences that Crystal is known for.”
