New cruise line Explora Journeys is on a mission to introduce a new vision for luxury ocean cruising. Chief sales officer Chris Austin explains all in the latest Cruise Trade News Cruise Corner interview.
It was June 2021 when the MSC Group revealed that its luxury cruise brand would take the name Explora Journeys.
Since then, the line has been very active, unveiling details about its fleet of ships – it currently has plans for four – and adding to its commercial team with appointments in global and regional roles across Europe, the Americas and the UK and Ireland.
In early December 2021, it also signified its support for the trade with the launch of a travel agent portal, featuring a knowledge suite, complete with the latest brand information and tools, as well as digital and print marketing assets and a reporting dashboard to track sales and commissions.
All in all, it adds up to a busy, yet exciting time, for Explora Journeys, as chief sales officer Chris Austin tells Lucy Abbott.
