Cruise & Maritime Voyages (CMV) has extended the suspension of all their worldwide cruises from 25 May to 30Â June 2020.
All affected passengers are being offered an attractive future cruise credit of 125 per cent of the amount paid for the cruising holiday valid until 31 March 2021 and redeemable against the best deal of the day, including the Buy One Get One Free Offer applicable on all 2021 sailings.
The offer has been extended to 31 May 2020.
CEO of CMV, Christian Verhounig, said: “Due to the continued global pandemic, we are still unable to perform our scheduled itineraries and to deliver the travel experience normally enjoyed by our valued passengers.
“We have therefore taken the decision to temporarily further suspend all cruises until 30 June 2020, when we very much hope to be able to resume service.
“We are extremely proud to see that nearly 80 per cent of our passengers affected by the cancellation of their cruise have re-booked onto future 2020 and 2021 cruises.
“This is a great sign and we know that passengers are looking forward to travelling with us in the near future.”
CMV has also extended its flexi-cancellation transfer policy for sailings departing up to 31 August 2020.
This allows existing booked passengers the chance to transfer, without charge, seven days prior to the sail date to any 2020-21 or 22 sailing and to receive a 125 per cent Future Cruise Credit based on monies paid.
This also applies to new bookings based on a 100 per cent Future Cruise Credit on monies paid. Future Cruise Credits with transfers to new sailings are valid to 31 March 2021.
There have been no reported cases of Covid-19 on any of CMV’s seven small and medium-sized ships.
Seabourn and Holland America Line have also both announced that they have extended the cancellation of cruises for much of 2020.
