Celebrity Cruises has announced that the Celebrity Flora will visit the Galapagos Islands for the first time in May 2019.

Celebrity Flora will sail from Baltra year-round offering two seven-night itineraries, making her first sailing on 26 May 2019.

Each itinerary can be complemented with 10, 11 or 15-night packages, including pre and post cruise tours in Quito, the capital of Ecuador, and to Machu Picchu in Peru.

The 100-guest ship has been designed to suit the ecology of the islands.

It has anchorless technology to maintain the ship’s position while protecting the sea floor below. Guests will have 360-degree views of the islands thanks to the outward-facing design of the suites and on-board venues.

Celebrity Cruises has also joined forces with marine and earth scientist, Dr Ellen Prager, who serves as the cruise line’s Galapagos science advisor.

In addition, Celebrity has announced a 10-night Quito and Galapagos Inner Loop fly/cruise, departing 16 June 2019, with prices from £8,429pp based on two people staying in a Deluxe suite, including flights from Heathrow Airport.

The 13-night holiday includes return flights from Heathrow, departing 14 June 2019, transfers, two-nights of pre-cruise hotel accommodation, a 10-night cruise departing from Daphne Island and calling at Baltra, Rabida, Puerto Egas, Tagus Cove, Elizabeth Bay, Batolomé, Sullivan Bay, North Seymour Island, Las Bachas, Punta Pitt, Puerto Baquerizo, and Puerto Ayora.

Guests then return to Baltra for transfers, one-night of post-cruise hotel accommodation and the flight home. It also includes meals and entertainment on the ship and all relevant cruise taxes/fees.
