Carnival Cruise Line has launched a future cruise credit (FCC) toolkit to help travel agents support clients and future bookings.
In a statement the line said: “With many guests opting for FCCs on cancelled sailings, FCCs represent a huge opportunity for travel agents to grow their business as their clients have already expressed an interest in booking their next cruise and have committed funds toward that next booking.”
The toolkit is available on a dedicated page on GoCCL.com and includes a variety of resources to help agents, including:
- Lead reporting tool to help agencies note and follow up on pending FCCs
- Communications schedule to help travel agents organise client follow ups
- Easy to use templates for FCC-focused emails, letters and phone calls
- Personalisation tools for agents to customise messages based on client needs and interests
The toolkit is accompanied by a video from Carnival’s business development managers who share their selling and marketing tips for agents to use FCCs to assist their clients on future bookings.
Carnival senior vice-president of global sales and trade marketing Adolfo Perez said: “Clients with FCCs are such important leads for travel agents and this practical, easy-to-use toolkit offers a variety of proven sales and marketing strategies, all designed to help agents close more FCC business and expand their sales. It’s one more example of Carnival investing in and supporting our valued travel partners.”
The line is also supporting agents with a new eight-part online sales certification aimed at helping agents enhance their sales skills.
After agents have completed the eight sessions, and a short quiz, they will receive a certification of completion signed by Perez and an official logo they can use on their own website.
Carnival also recently revealed that it has cancelled 2020 cruises from US ports, aside from Miami and Port Canaveral.
