Azamara will operate itineraries to South Africa and South America later this year.
The line will sail in the regions for the first time since early 2020.
Azamara Journey will embark on six back-to-back South Africa voyages, while Azamara Pursuit will cruise along South America’s coasts, including a stop in Rio de Janeiro.
The cruise line’s South America itineraries will also explore the Antarctic Peninsula, as well as the Beagle Channel and Strait of Magellan, with stops in the Falkland Islands.
Azamara Journey will return to Cape Town on 20 December, to conclude the ship’s 21-night Western Africa voyage.
Meanwhile, Azamara Pursuit will return to South America on the 16-night Portuguese Pursuit cruise, departing from Lisbon on 30 November.
Azamara offering ‘hidden gems’
Director of strategic itinerary and destination planning Michael Pawlus said: “With the travel and cruising industries continuing to take significant steps forward, we are thrilled to bring our guests deeper to explore even more hidden gems of the world on our four ships.
“Both South Africa and many South American countries are bucket-list travel destinations for travellers, and we look forward to our guests discovering the rich culture and local life of these unique destinations with Azamara.”
In October, the operator restructured its UK sales team to “bolster market growth and generate greater confidence among trade partners in the region”.
David Duff, formerly the line’s international commercial director, takes on the new role of UK managing director, focusing on developing the UK market, driving growth and providing visible market leadership.
In addition, earlier this year all of its four sister ships met for the first time in Koper, Slovenia.
