Azamara has revealed a series of itineraries for its 2024 Europe deployment.

The line will operate a total of 84 cruises, of which 53 are what Azamara calls Country Intensive voyages, with more than 50 per cent of port calls being a late night or overnight.

The programme includes maiden ports for the line, such as Taranto, Italy, as well as a return to Hamburg.

Azamara will visit Trollfjord, Norway, as well as Edinburg during the Military Tattoo event.

The line has also extended its partnership with PerryGolf, a provider of international golf tours, to offer more golf-themed itineraries in 2024.

Highlights include the 12-night British Isles Intensive Golf Voyage, departing from Dublin and featuring two days of the 152nd Open at Royal Troon, and the 12-night South Africa Intensive cruise, giving guests the opportunity to play five rounds at East London Golf Club.

To support the launch, Azamara has also developed a new video series, called Lens of a Local, designed to give guests “an exclusive look into the immersive excursions that can be experienced”, Azamara said.

The episodes will be available on the line’s social media channels.

Azamara expanding Europe options

Azamara president Carol Cabezas said: “Our Country Intensive voyages have continually proven to be a guest favourite with increased bookings throughout 2022, so we are pleased to offer even more options for our guests to discover all these incredible European countries have to offer.

“With unique new ports and plenty of late stays and overnights, we encourage guests to explore each destination at their own pace and travel off the beaten path.

“Our new Lens of a Local video series can help our guests get immersed even before they board the ship.”

At the start of September, Azamara said it will remove its Covid-19 vaccination requirement, effective from 1 December.
