APT & Travelmarvel adds to trade team

APT & Travelmarvel has again bolstered its trade support team with the appointment of Koral Lipton as its new business development manager (BDM) for the north of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Lipton, who is based in Glasgow, will start her new role on 16 December.

She was previously a key account manager for Gold Medal and Travel 2 for more than six years, and prior to that was a Travel 2 travel consultant.

Reporting to APT & Travelmarvel head of sales & business development Brad Bennetts, Lipton will be responsible for positioning the operator’s river cruises, Croatian yachting programme, expedition cruises, and tours as the products of choice for agents in her regions.

She will also build relationships with key trade partners, identify new business opportunities, manage third-party retail accounts, and deliver training for local agents.

APT investing in the future

Bennetts said: “We are thrilled to welcome Koral to the APT & Travelmarvel family.

“She joins a fantastic new team, at an exciting time of growth for our brands, and her appointment reflects the investment that our business is making to ensure the continued sales success of our valued agent partners.

“With new ships on the Mekong and expansions into new destinations planned for 2023, Koral will have lots of exciting product developments to talk to the industry about, and we can’t wait for her to get started.”

Earlier in November, the operator created a BDM role dedicated to homeworkers, with Becky Baumbach taking that position.

APT has also recently appointed Robin Griffiths as a BDM.
