APT’s biggest UK river cruise brochure to date, featuring Europe, Russia and Asia

An all-encompassing brochure featuring new itineraries and offering travellers more opportunities to tailor their trip heralds the launch of APT’s 2018 river cruise season.

The new River Cruising 2018 is APT’s biggest UK brochure to date and includes a choice of fully inclusive Luxury and Premium* journeys to destinations across Europe as well as Russia, Vietnam & Cambodia, Myanmar, China and India.

Luxury river cruises to Russia are a new addition with two new departures scheduled for August (19 and 29) 2018.

The 13-day Russian Waterways itinerary will traverse the network of rivers and lakes that joins Moscow with St Petersburg, allowing guests to discover lavish city palaces, country towns and Soviet era remnants alike. Priced from £4,095 per person twin share it includes ten nights cruising on board the newly renovated 182-passenger MS Excellence Katharina and two nights’ land accommodation in St Petersburg and Moscow.

APT has experienced high demand for its river cruises in South East Asia and this latest brochure offers agents the first release of the new dates and deals for the 2018/19 season for Luxury and Premium river cruise holidays in Vietnam and Cambodia and Myanmar.

APT’s new brochure also features a bolstered line up of more than 155 Freedom of Choice experiences in 46 locations, many of which are on its flagship Magnificent EuropeAmsterdam to Budapest river cruise itinerary.

APT Head of Sales and Commercial Angela Waite said the 2018 program offered compelling reasons to book and showcased the many ways in which APT guests can select and tailor itineraries to suit their individual tastes and style.

“We’re excited to launch our biggest river cruise programme to date. As well as opening sales for 2018 and 2019 on our popular cruises in Europe and Asia, we’ve added a new Luxury Russian itinerary and lots of new early booking deals – the star of which is our new Fly Free in Premium Economy when you book clients on one of our APT Luxury Vietnam and Cambodia Highlights or Discovery holidays.

“In addition, by expanding APT’s Freedom of Choice options on our Luxury cruises we’ve added another layer of personalisation to every journey booked.

“This is an important factor for those who travel together but have different interests. Agents can offer choices such as golfing, cycling and hiking for those more active or cultural, culinary or educational activities – all of which, due to the fully inclusive nature of our product are free of charge,” she said.

APT’s Freedom of Choice activities offer cultural, gourmet, active and relaxation sightseeing themes.

More active options have been added. Guided bike tours feature in nine destinations in Europe; while guests can choose to enjoy a round of golf at one of three of the best courses in France; and for the more adventurous quad biking, dance classes, a vineyard hike and a motorbike tour feature.

Gourmet choices have also increased and include more culinary walking tours, wine tastings, the chance to sample produce at local farms and cooking classes.

For those looking for a reason to stay on board and relax, APT has added more activities ranging from language lessons to painting classes, cooking demonstrations, food and wine tastings and lectures from local experts.

APT’s flagship itinerary remains the 15-day Magnificent Europe river cruise, a journey on the Danube, Main and Rhine rivers, which is priced from £4,695 per person twin share.

This classic Amsterdam-Budapest itinerary is the perfect introduction to mainland Europe and includes three of APT’s five exclusive Royal Signature Experiences. There’s a visit to Namedy Castle, the home of Princess Heide von Hohenzollern, a cocktail reception and private concert at Vienna’s City Palace, and a ride on the Majestic Imperator, a privately chartered train which transports guests to Salzburg in Imperial style.

All Magnificent Europe cruises are hosted on Concerto River Ships, the only fleet in Europe to boast custom designed Twin Balcony Suites, which allow guests to enjoy the passing views from both inside and out.

Accompanying the River Cruising 2018 brochure is a range of special offers, including savings of up to £1,500 per couple on Luxury cruises to Europe and Russia; up to 50 percent off Premium cruises to Europe; the chance to Fly Free in Premium Economy when you book an APT Luxury Vietnam & Cambodia cruise; Fly Free offers to Myanmar; and Companion Flies Free to China and India for bookings made before August 31, 2017.

As a special launch offer, agents can also offer guests the option to save up to £4,600 per couple on the 15-day Magnificent Europe if booked by July 14, 2017.

All special offers are limited, subject to availability and terms and conditions apply.

APT holidays are fully inclusive and feature return flights from the UK, sightseeing, meals and drinks as brochured, transfers and tipping, an APT Cruise Director and local guides. On Luxury river cruises APT also includes private home-to-airport transfers.
