APT Travel Group has promoted Gary Speirs to national partnerships manager
Speirs, who joined APT Travel Group in 2024 following a 12-year career at the Barrhead Travel Group, has been promoted following a “strong two-year stint” as business development manager, the line said, where he forged relationships with partners in Scotland, North England and Northern Ireland.
The internal promotion comes after Robin Griffiths announced he was leaving the business to pursue a different opportunity.
Brad Bennetts, head of sales for UK and Europe, said: “At a time when we are celebrating record growth for the UK business, I am delighted Gary has been promoted and takes on a role which will further drive our success.
“APT Luxury & Travelmarvel prides itself on championing our own people by offering internal progression, development and growth. Gary has demonstrated great success in his current role as business development manager North over the last two years and I look forward to our UK key partner sales continuing to move from strength to strength under the guardianship of Gary.”
Speirs added: “The past two years with APT Travel Group have been incredibly rewarding, and I’m delighted to step into the role of National Partnerships Manager at such an exciting time for the business.
“Working closely with Brad, the wider team and our trade partners, I look forward to further growing the APT and Travelmarvel brands across the UK, while identifying new growth opportunities, driving commercial success and strengthening long-term partnerships.”
APT Travel Group is now taking applications for a new business development manager – Scotland.
