Angus Struthers, vice president of global marketing and EMEA sales for Cunard, will leave the business in June after overseeing the inaugural events for new ship Queen Anne

He has worked for Cunard since 2013, leading brand development, marketing, PR and events, trade relations in the UK and across EMEA, and digital transformation.

Katie McAlister, president of Cunard, hailed Struthers for being “at the heart of the Cunard brand evolution and commercial growth” over the last decade overseeing a number of developments.

“We’re seeing our strongest booking results in a decade and as the brand goes from strength to strength I’d like to thank Angus for the incredible contribution and passion he’s showed for the brand,” she added.

Cunard an ‘incredible brand’, says Struthers

Struthers said: “Cunard is an incredible brand and I look back with much pride at the many successes we’ve achieved, but after nearly eleven years and once we’ve seen the magnificent Queen Anne named, I feel it is the right time to find my next exciting career opportunity.”

Speaking to Cruise Trade News recently, Struthers detailed how an incentive centred around Queen Anne inspired hundreds of agents to make a staggering 5,626 bookings for the vessel.

“The excitement for the much-anticipated arrival of Queen Anne is growing by the day and the phenomenal engagement with the competition proved that our valued agent partners are feeling the same way,” he said.
