Ambassador Cruise Line has launched a new training programme aimed at reducing the “isolation” faced by homeworkers
The new Sip & Sea initiative will look to provide essential training to those working independently which is typically available to in-store agents only.
Throughout February, Ambassador’s business development executives will host events across the UK, with each session welcoming 15-20 agents.
The training days will offer homeworkers the opportunity to learn about the Ambassador Cruise Line brand while enjoying bottomless brunch, courtesy of the no-fly cruise line.
The first event will be hosted by Kelly Whitefoot in The Botanist in Birmingham on 7 February, before moving to Liverpool on 18 February, where Carly Bowkett will host a session in Malmaison.
The second training day will be hosted by Natalia Hurst in The Ivy in Manchester on 20 February.
The final three events will take place on 28 February in The Botanist in Exeter and Ipswich and Malmaison in Glasgow, hosted by Jade Cheadle, Andrew Santry and Debbie Ballantyne, respectively.
Karen Cameron, deputy head of trade at Ambassador Cruise Line, said: “Our trade partners are incredibly important to us, and we want to show our appreciation for our homeworking agents through this dedicated training programme.
“Homeworkers can often miss out on integral training, yet they are key to our success, and we want them to be armed with the tools they need to confidently sell our brand. We hope they’ll enjoy their bottomless brunch and, if these events prove popular, we’d love to roll them out on a bi-monthly basis.”
It comes after the line appointed Peter Green as its first strategic accounts manager to further strengthen its UK sales team.
To register interest and for more detail on the events, agents can head to Ambassador’s dedicated trade Facebook page, Ambassador Cruise Line Trade Partners.
