Ambassador Cruise Line appoints first strategic accounts manager

Peter Green, Ambassador Cruise Line

Ambassador Cruise Line has appointed Peter Green as its first strategic accounts manager to further strengthen its UK sales team as it continues to expand

Green, who joined the business on 6 January from the Malta Tourism Authority, will report into the line’s deputy head of trade Karen Cameron and will be responsible for growing relationships with key clients to maximise sales generation.

With Ambience and Ambition serving eight UK departure ports, the role will see Green drive Ambassador’s sales agenda, generating new business opportunities across the country and coordinating activity for marketing opportunities and trade events.

Prior to the Malta Tourism Authority, Green was cruise product manager at Arena Travel and held various roles at Thomas Cook.

“I am delighted to welcome Peter to Ambassador Cruise Line,” said Nicola Harper, head of distribution at Ambassador Cruise Line. “As the UK cruise line with the most regional departures, we have lots of untapped opportunity.”

She continued: “The role has been created with an initial focus on London Cruise Terminal to identify new agent partners and identify growth opportunities with existing partners before extending to Ambassador’s regional ports across the UK.

“There is a big market for our affordable quality product, and we are fully committed to supporting our valued trade partners with the knowledge and resources they need to succeed.

“Peter is well respected in the industry with extensive knowledge of the trade, and he will be instrumental in supporting our trade partners and driving forward our ambitious goals.”

It comes after the line appointed former A-Rosa River Cruises regional sales manager Emma Rodgers as its new divisional sales manager for the north.
