AmaWaterways has expanded its UK team following a record year for sales and its strongest ever January wave period
Jennifer Shah has joined the business in the role of sales and marketing support executive following the promotion of Aimee Boschier to marketing manager.
She returns to the travel industry after a career break, having previously worked for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and Uniworld Boutique River Cruises.
The luxury river cruise line has also revealed plans to expand its reservations team by 30 per cent in order to keep up with an increase in demand.
“AmaWaterways continues to go from strength to strength,” said Jamie Loizou, managing director. “These new appointments demonstrate our commitment to supporting the trade in every way possible.
“As well as being a record year for sales, 2024 saw us work with more agency partners than ever before. Our philosophy has always been to offer them the same high level of service that our guests experience on our ships.”
Loizou continued: “With new products and multiple ships in the pipeline, this approach is more important than ever, and these new hires ensure we have the resource to continue to offer an industry leading service.”
The team additions come as the line prepares to welcome three new ships, each due to set sail in 2025, with two in the new-to-the-line destination of Colombia, as well as a third on Portugal’s Douro.
It comes after the line launched a trade giveaway featuring the chance to win a complimentary luxury cruise every week until 23 February 2025.
