AmaWaterways has added a new course to its trade training platform to help educate agents and boost their sales and commission
The new module, which focuses on the rivers of France, comes after the river cruise line saw record sales for the destination with bookings up by 134 per cent in 2024 compared to 2023.
The new AmaAcademy unit dives into the details of the company’s French fleet – AmaDante, AmaDolce, AmaLyra and AmaKristina – and gives agents an insight into the line’s sailings along the Saône, Rhône, Seine, Garonne and Dordogne rivers.
“Last summer’s Olympic Games created the perfect platform to showcase France to audiences from around the world and helped drive strong demand for river cruises in the country,” said Andrea Stafford, sales director.
“That demand has continued with Bordeaux seeing the biggest growth, followed by the Seine. With strong interest looking set to continue in 2025, this new course will ensure agents are perfectly placed to maximise sales to the region.”
Agents who complete the course will receive discounted fam trip rates and when they make a new reservation within 90 days of completion, will also be eligible to receive a £25 Love2Shop voucher.
The latest offering is the fourth module to be offered to agents with earlier courses covering general overview of AmaWaterways as well as information on the Danube, Rhine, Main and Moselle rivers.
It comes after the company earlier this year expanded its UK team following a record year for sales and its strongest ever January wave period.
Jennifer Shah joined the business in the role of sales and marketing support executive following the promotion of Aimee Boschier to marketing manager.
