Last week the Celebrity Cruises sales team surprised 100 of its top-selling UK and Irish agents with £500 each in Celebrity Rewards
In recognition of the tenth anniversary of the cruise line’s travel agent loyalty programme, this year’s Celebrity Moments campaign offered a collection of resources to support agents in their sales efforts.
This included the chance to earn £10 in rewards for every new booking made during the campaign, irrespective of stateroom category or value.
Following the incentive, which ran for three months during the wave period, 100 agents from across the UK and Ireland were surprised with in-person and virtual drop-ins from the the company’s sales team.
Agents can use their earnings to purchase shopping and travel vouchers, gifts for their customers, transfer funds to a reloadable Celebrity Cruises MasterCard, or as charity donations.
It comes as Celebrity Cruises prepares for its 2025 European season, which will see Ascent offer cruises in the Mediterranean and Apex take guests to Northern Europe, the Mediterranean and the Canary Islands from Southampton.
Earlier this month, Giles Hawke, vice president of international for the line, said he hopes the company’s entrance into river cruise will grow the sector following concerns of Europe’s waterways becoming overcrowded by a new fleet of ships.
Speaking at the CLIA RiverView Conference 2025 in Budapest on 8 March, Hawke said he believed the river sector will benefit when Celebrity Cruises launches its first-ever river fleet in 2027, saying he hopes it will bring new passengers and increased attention to the market.
