A-Rosa to resume river cruises from mid-June

A-rosa

A-Rosa has announced its plans to restart cruises in mid-June.

The move comes as travel restrictions imposed following the coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak lift across 31 European countries, which is scheduled for 15 June 2020.

Cruises on the Douro are planned to restart on 17 June 2020, followed by the Rhine on 19 June 2020 and Danube on 20 June 2020.

Sailings in France (Seine and Rhone) are expected to restart in early July 2020.

The river cruise line has said that it will continue to monitor the requirements of the authorities in the various countries and appropriate adjustments will be made if required.

A-Rosa has already announced details of its enhanced health and safety protocols, which have been based on the recommendations of the Robert Koch Institute in Germany and the World Health Organisation and considers the pandemic regulations of the individual countries through which a ship passes.

In addition, A-Rosa has appointed Dr med. Jens Tülsner as fleet doctor to support operations. He is the founder and CEO of Marine Medical Solutions and has, alongside others, assisted A-Rosa with the creation of its new health and hygiene concept.
