A-Rosa expands 2022 excursion programme

A-Rosa expands 2022 excursion programme with new ‘immersive’ experiences

A-Rosa has added more than 120 new options to its shore excursion programme for the 2022 season.

The river cruise line said it will now offer “more immersive and unique experiences than ever before”, with more than 500 different choices, in six different categories.

A new Exclusive Tours category has been created for 2022, featuring over 90 individual or private excursions with a personal chauffeur and/or tour guide.

These include paddle boarding in front of the chalk cliffs at Etretat in Normandy, or windsurfing on the Ijseelmeer in Holland, among others.

Culinary highlights include a private gourmet cooking class on the Rhone or a private wine tasing at the Haxel Winery in Cochem. There are also personalised trips to cities such as Salzburg, Amsterdam and Paris.

Excursions can be added either before departure or once on board.

A-Rosa UK & Ireland MD Lucia Rowe said: “We know that holidaying now is all about making memories with loved ones, and our new excursion programme is packed full of incredible experiences to suit all types of guests.

“We’ve worked hard to offer more variety than ever before and I am sure guests will be surprised by some of the amazing things you can do while on a river cruise.”

A-Rosa growing its fleet

A-Rosa will soon welcome its newest ship, Sena, which will sail its maiden voyage in May 2022. The ship will feature technology to manage energy consumption and keep emissions to a minimum.

On board, A-Rosa Sena will feature the A-Rosa Market as its main restaurant, which will have a self-serve buffet option and live cooking stations.

Guests will also be able to dine in The Pavilion, a seating area within the A-Rosa Market, and Riverside, an outdoor seating area.

In February, the line also announced the appointment of Sharon Wilson as regional sales manager for the north.
