Windstar Cruises launches new ‘fun & sun’ Caribbean itinerary

Windstar Cruises Star Pride

Windstar Cruises has launched a new winter 2023 voyage that it said will feature seven days “on some of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean”.

The Beach Fun & Sun: A Remote Caribbean Getaway cruise will visit the likes of St Maarten, Antigua, St Barts, Anguilla, Jost Van Dyke (overnight), Virgin Gorda, and Tortola.

A sailing on 4 November 2023 will take place on Star Pride, while the other eight departures will be on board the 342-guest yacht Wind Surf.

The line said that the watersports platforms on both ships, which allow guests to jump from the yacht into the sea, will operate daily, except for embarkation and disembarkation days.

Current all-inclusive cruise-only prices start from £2,640pp. The itinerary can also be combined with Windstar’s Classic Caribbean voyage to create a two-week cruise.

Windstar Cruises sailing from Miami

Windstar Cruises president Christopher Prelog said: “We created this itinerary specifically for people who like to spend time enjoying some of the best tropical beaches, swimming and watersports activities.

“Our small yachts visit scenic Caribbean islands for a peaceful, relaxing holiday away from crowds.”

Windstar Cruises will also operate its first ex-Miami sailings in December 2022. The Jungles & Jewels of the Central American Coast voyage will stop in Key West before heading to Mexico, Belize, Guatemala and Honduras, while the Central America & the Panama Canal Revealed itinerary will take in Mexico, Belize, Honduras, Costa Rica and Panama.

Starting from January 2024, the line will operate a seven-day Naturally Costa Rica itinerary from Puerto Caldera, with cruise-only prices from £2,940pp.

Windstar resumed full cruise operations in June.

Star Pride is the third of Windstar’s Star Plus yachts to undergo a lengthening and transformation project, joining Star Breeze and Star Legend.
