Windstar Cruises has confirmed that recently refreshed sailing yacht Wind Star will join Star Breeze to sail year-round in French Polynesia from March 2027
The move makes the season Windstar’s most expansive South Pacific deployment yet with two yachts operating more departure dates and a wider variety of itineraries than ever before.
“Tahiti is part of our DNA, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring our sailing yacht back to these legendary waters,” said Christopher Prelog, president of Windstar Cruises.
“By offering the largest number of departures in Tahiti, we offer unparalleled flexibility and choice – whether you crave the romance of sailing under starry skies or the comfort of an all-suite yacht. However you go, it’s all Windstar: laid-back luxury, local flavour and a front-row seat to the most beautiful place on earth.”
The 148-guest Wind Star will sail a seven-night Dreams of Tahiti itinerary continuously, with weekly Monday departures. Prices start from £2,261pp.
Star Breeze, Windstar’s 312-guest all-suite yacht, will focus on longer voyages to more remote destinations like the Tuamotus, Marquesas, Fiji and the Cook Islands. Prices start from £2,099pp.
It comes after the line revealed a wave of new Caribbean and Latin America itineraries for the 2026/27 season ahead of the launch of Star Seeker later this year.
The release of the new voyages sees Windstar offer its largest-ever collection of Caribbean and Latin America experiences, offering 35 sailings across ten itineraries, operated across four yacht-style ships.
New highlights include daylight Panama Canal transits, first-time shore excursions, and new tours to Machu Picchu.
