VIVA Cruises is set to launch a new boutique river cruise ship on the Seine in May 2026
VIVA Beyond will be the operator’s first ship in a new boutique cruising proposition, named VIVA Boutique. The holistic concept, the line said, will combine the amenities of a boutique hotel with the experiences of a river cruise.
“VIVA Boutique marks another important milestone in the success story of our young company,” said VIVA Cruises CEO Andrea Kruse. “The development of our own boutique brand was a project close to our hearts, which we will offer to those guests who want to experience the extraordinary.”
Kruse continued: “VIVA Beyond’s maiden voyage will take place on the picturesque Seine in May 2026. The new ship combines the best of both worlds: the comfort of a boutique hotel with the diversity of a river cruise.”
The vessel, part of the Scylla shipping company’s fleet, will undergo a renovation in early 2026 to align with the new premium brand. It offers a spacious sun deck and a treatment area and can accommodate up to 116 passengers.
VIVA Cruises’ new boutique offering to ‘elevate’ consumer experience
The new addition will offer more suites than any other ship in the VIVA Cruises’ fleet and guests will be able to choose from twelve suites, four junior suites and, for the first time, ten spacious master suites.
The ship will debut with an eight-day cruise from Paris via Normandy to the Atlantic coast, and back to the French capital. Onboard, guests will find three restaurants, including MOMENTS, as well as three new excursions, focussed on culinary, culture and impressionism.
Earlier this year, the line moved to bolster its distribution through the UK trade by partnering with travel technology provider Traveltek.
