Virgin Voyages has announced it will have its own dedicated cruise terminal at PortMiami.

Work on the 100,000 square foot terminal will start next year, with an expected completion date of 2021.

The line has also revealed that bookings for Virgin Voyages’ inaugural season will open for sale on 14 February for the general public and 5 February for those holding pre-sale deposits.

Virgin’s first ship, Scarlet Lady, will continue to sail to the Caribbean from Miami throughout 2021. The company’s second ship will sail from Miami during the fall/winter cruise season of 2021/22.

Virgin Group founder Sir Richard Branson said: “Miami is an incredible city and one of my favourite places to work and play.

“From our headquarters for Hotels, Voyages and now Trains USA, South Florida has quickly become another home for Virgin brands in the leisure travel sector.”

Virgin recently signed an agreement for a fourth ship.
