Uniworld has revealed the launch dates for three new ships and set out plans for another Super Ship renovation.
The S.S. Satet will launch on the Nile on 6 January 2020, followed by the S.S. São Gabriel on the Douro on 26 March 2020. In addition, the Mekong Jewel will debut on the Mekong on 3 January next year.
Meanwhile, the River Countess will undergo renovation and re-emerge as S.S. La Venezia on 27 March 2020, as part of the line’s Super Ship programme, which kicked off in 2017 with the launch of the S.S. Joie de Vivre, and was followed by the debut of the S.S. Beatrice in 2018, and S.S. Bon Voyage, arriving in April.
Uniworld CEO Ellen Bettridge said: “We are consistently and relentlessly pursuing excellence. But expansion for expansion’s sake has never been our business model.
“We boldly commit to the projects that will continuously elevate Uniworld to the leading position within the river cruise industry. Our ships are absolutely unique and, like a boutique hotel, reflect the destinations they serve from décor and artwork to food, beverage and programming.
“We look forward to making our high calibre of service and personalisation in these remarkable destinations even better.”
By 2020, more than half of the ships in Uniworld’s fleet will be classed as a Super Ship.
