Travel 2 Announces CLIA Partnership

Cruise Plus by Travel 2 is strengthening its position as being one of the leading experts in the cruise market by joining industry body CLIA.

The Cruise Lines International Association leverages its relationships with cruise lines, partners and the travel community ensuring Cruise Plus by Travel 2 benefits from the latest resources, training and access to 4,100 UK travel agents looking to expand their selling potential within the cruise industry. Now in its fifth year, Cruise Plus by Travel 2 continues to go from strength to strength reporting overall sales up by 30 per cent year on year, a strengthened sales team up from four to 20 and growing the numbers of suppliers from just nine to over 30.

South America, South East Asia and European cruise departures continue to lead the charge with Cruise Plus by Travel 2 sales up by 145 per cent, 35 per cent and 32 per cent respectively to these destinations.
 
In response to a 15 per cent increase in cruise passengers travelling with the trade only specialist year on year, Cruise Plus by Travel 2 is launching its first dedicated river cruise mini brochure. Appearing in April, the new sales tool features cruises to Europe, Canada, Africa, South America, USA and Asia within 16 itineraries.

The new CLIA partnership sees Travel 2 grab the exclusive headline tour operator sponsor slot at the annual CLIA Conference in May.

Building on the tour operator’s well established expertise and commercial relationships with airlines, cruise lines, hotels and touring products, agents can build an end-to-end holiday to suit their customers’ wildest dreams.
