Titan has unveiled its new cruise compendium brochure for 2016 bringing together its range of worldwide ocean and river cruise holidays in one bumper brochure.
Working in conjunction with a number of cruise ship operators from Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) and Hurtigruten to Fred. Olsen, Voyages to Antiquity and Azamara Club Cruises, the brochure features 28 new itineraries, of which 20 are ocean whilst a further eight are river cruises.
For early bookers there are a choice of discounts available with a saving of up to £2,500 per person off the new ‘Iceland and Natural Wonders of Greenland’ cruise aboard the expedition-style MS Ocean Diamond, on selected dates booked by November 30, 2015.
The compact MS Ocean Diamond is an ideal ship for expeditions in the Arctic region. It has 109 cabins and suites, and its own fleet of Zodiacs for shore excursions. The ship takes passengers to places off the traditional cruise routes, experiencing the highlights of both Iceland and Greenland.
The new 14-day itinerary follows the routes of the ancient settlers of Northern Europe to where seals, whales, dolphins and eagles thrive and includes excursions to several of Greenland’s glaciers, including the Sermeq Kujalleq glacier – the most productive glacier in the Northern Hemisphere. On shore in Greenland take a guided hike through the ‘Golden Circle’ of Iceland, visiting the thermal area of the Great Geysir spouting hot springs.

At the southern pole Antarctica returns to the Titan programme with a new 18-day ‘Adventure from Cape Horn to the Penguins of Antarctica’ with a voyage aboard MS Midnatsol in the company of experts.
Closer to home in the warmer waters of the Douro Valley in Portugal the regal Spirit of Chartwell (also known as the ‘Royal Barge’) was the ship which carried Her Majesty the Queen during the Diamond Jubilee pageant along the Thames. It has now been transformed into an intimate cruise ship and has been chartered exclusively for small groups of Titan travellers to experience a new 10-day ‘Celebration of Lisbon and the Douro’.
Sailing between the coastal city of Porto and the Spanish border, the journey includes visits to picturesque towns, monasteries and palaces along the way, as well as a full-day tour to Salamanca in Spain. Throughout the journey there will be on board wine tastings, folk shows, cooking demonstrations and informative talks by a guest lecturer, in addition to a two night stay in Lisbon.
