The Cruise Room partners with family bereavement charity Reuben’s Retreat

The Cruise Room

Cruise specialist agency The Cruise Room has confirmed family bereavement support network Reuben’s Retreat as its first charity partner

As part of the new agreement, the agency will donate £10 to the organisation for every Celebrity Cruises stateroom or suite booking it makes.

The Cruise Room will also make the donation for all trips booked in January 2024, share the story of the charity in various ways across the year and volunteer with Reuben’s Retreat.

The charity aims to relieve the distress of families bereaved of their child or those who have a child living with medical complexities.

The Cruise Room to continue supporting other local charities

“When we started planning The Cruise Room way back in yesteryear, we were adamant that we would always try and find ways to give back to local communities and charities wherever we could,” said founder Robert O’Grady.

“We will also continue to support Hoylake and Meols Christmas Lights and Friends of Hoylake and Meols in Bloom of course who both do brilliant work for our ‘home port’ and we’ll be in touch in due course.”

Earlier this week, James Cole, founder and chief executive of Panache Cruises, was appointed patron of marine charity Sail 4 Cancer.

Founded in 2001, the charity provides days out and holidays for families affected by cancer, all of which have a nautical focus, from sailing days to longer holidays on canal boats and cruise ships.
