Countdown to Silversea’s new luxury Silver Moon ship launch

Silversea's Silver Moon

It is one year and counting until the launch of Silversea’s Silver Moon and to mark this, the cruise line has released new imagery of the out-of-this-world luxury cruise ship.

Renderings taken of the inside of the cruise ship reveal the state-of-the-art elegance of the ship, which has been modelled after Silversea’s current flagship, Silver Muse.

There will be three dining venues on board to cater to Silversea’s new culinary programme S.A.L.T., including S.A.LT. Kitchen, the first large-scale regionally inspired restaurant on a board a luxury ship; S.A.L.T. Lab, which will enable guests to learn about local ingredients and artisanal techniques; and S.A.L.T. Bar, which will house the local region’s wines, spirits and other drinks.

Silversea’s popular restaurants Atlantide and Kaiseke will each undergo an extensive redesign, as will Silversea’s signature French restaurant, La Dame, which will be positioned to allow guests to dine under the stars and will be kitted out with bespoke crystal panels courtesy of luxury French glassware producer Lalique.

Signature venues and public spaces will also be given a makeover, including the Dolce Vita Lounge, which will be given a new layout with the bar in the centre, and the Connoisseur’s Lounge, which has been reimagined aboard Silversea’s Silver Muse with a new Wintergarden area.

Other enhanced areas include the pool deck and the redesigned Spa and Fitness Centre. Finally, the suites on board will benefit from one of the highest space-to-guest ratios of any luxury cruise vessel, which is a hallmark of Silversea ships.

“Inspired by the success of our beloved Silver MuseSilver Moon will raise the bar in ultra-luxury travel, unlocking immersive experiences for our guests in whispered luxury,” says Barbara Muckermann, Silversea’s chief marketing officer.

“Incorporating unprecedented concepts, the ship will bring innovation to the industry, while maintaining the small-ship intimacy and spacious all-suite accommodations that are the hallmarks of the Silversea experience. From our pioneering new S.A.L.T. programme to the array of reimaged public spaces, every aspect of the new ship has been thoughtfully designed to enrich our guests’ experiences further still.”

Silversea’s Silver Moon will complete her inaugural voyage between 6 August and 17 August 2020, travelling from Trieste to Rome (Civitavecchia). The sailing is in very popular demand, but suites are still available for those who want to be among the first to experience Silver Moon.

Silver Moon will spend the summer in the Mediterranean, before venturing to the Caribbean in November. She will then continue to Central and South America, where she will complete a circumnavigation of the continent on the Grand South America 2021, visiting 37 destinations in 20 countries between 7 January and 17 March 2021.
