Saga’s new all-inclusive seven-night boutique-style coastal cruise will offer the chance to visit the world’s most dangerous superbike race: the Isle of Man TT Race.
The Saga Sapphire ship will also visit Dublin and Liverpool and the Jurassic Coast in May.
Saga says this new offering for 2018 will be an ‘all-inclusive boutique style’ cruise and will aim to coincide with the race which sees TT riders race around the island’s roads for two weeks at the end of May and start of June. The cruise will also coincide with the 100-year anniversary of the championships.
Saga guests are given the option to watch the race from the grandstand, or soak up the atmosphere at Noble Park Fanzone or in Ramsey Town’s Parliament Square. While in Dublin, passengers can enjoy its Georgian and Victorian architecture, many of Dublin’s historic pubs and bars and undertake an optional excursion to the Powerscourt Estate in County Wicklow – a large country house with enchanting Japanese and Italian gardens.
In Liverpool, the National Trust-owned childhood homes of John Lennon and Paul McCartney are now firmly on the tourist map for Beatles’ fans, and Saga guests can explore more through trips to Strawberry Fields, Penny Lane and the Beatles Story exhibition.
When sailing to Portland Harbour, off the Jurassic Coast, there is the opportunity to visit the beautiful Abbotsbury Gardens, see Benedictine ruins and a 600-year-old swannery.
The cruise costs from £ 999 and departs from Dover on May 29, 2018. Price is based on two people sharing an cabin.
