Royal Caribbean International has unveiled details of its new WAVE promotion alongside a new brand positioning ‘Where Extraordinary Happens’, promoted through a multi-million pound campaign.
The promotion and positioning are designed to give holidaymakers savings and drive demand in the ‘new to cruise’ market.
The 2016 WAVE promotion is the first campaign to use the cruise line’s new positioning, inviting people to Go All In with:
• A Buy One Get One Half Price promotion – a saving of 50% from the cruise fare of the second guest only
• Third and fourth guests in a stateroom will receive a 25% per person cruise fare saving
• All Inclusive for the first and second guest includes the Royal Select Beverage Package (beer and wine by the glass up to $8 value) for adults or the Royal Refreshment Soda Package for persons under the applicable drinking age
• Sailings booked 57 days or more before a sailing will obtain a reduced deposit of £50pp (not available on group bookings)
The promotion is applicable to new bookings made before February 29 2016 on selected 6+ night worldwide sailings departing between February 1 2016 and December 31 2016.
For trade partners, the company has created new support materials around  the campaign for agents. There are new POS and trade kits as well as refreshed training assets becoming available, to help trade partners.
