Riviera Travel has appointed former Solmar Villas operations director Adam Connolly as its new head of operations.

Prior to his role with Solmar, he led the operations teams at Travelsphere and Just You for 10 years before joining start-up travel business Dharma.

In his new role, Connolly will be leading Rivera Travel’s operations and tour manager teams, which are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the brand’s escorted tours and cruises.

“I’m really excited about the opportunity to join Riviera Travel,” Connolly said. “I’ve admired the products and brand for many years and felt it was a great time to join the business as they develop these further.

“I’m looking forward to leading the operations teams to deliver incredible travel experiences to our guests across our tour and cruise portfolio. We have such a great reputation for quality and service and I can’t wait to see where that takes us in the next few years.”

It comes after Riviera announced plans to launch a new brand campaign and TV advertising to mark its 40th anniversary in March 2024.
