Riviera Travel tall-ship sailings

Riviera Travel has launched its tall-ship ocean cruise programme for 2025, featuring three new departures, with six itineraries in total on Star Clipper and Royal Clipper.

The voyages, which are available to book now, will depart between April and September 2025, covering the coasts of Greece, Turkey, Croatia, Spain and Malta.

New for 2025 is the 11-night Spain, Balearics and Malta cruise, which includes a one-night pre-cruise stay in Malaga, nine nights on Star Clipper and a one-night post-cruise stay in Malta.

Other itineraries include the 10-night Aegean Odyssey, with a two-night pre-cruise stay in Istanbul, seven nights on Star Clipper and a one-night post cruise stay in Athens, and the Malta, Sicily and Greece trip, which is also new for 2025.

The 16-sail Star Clipper has 83 cabins and accommodates up to 166 guests and 74 crew.

It has two salt-water swimming pools, a sun deck, restaurant, tropical outside bar, library and lounge.

Meanwhile, the 42-sail Royal Clipper has 114 cabins and accommodates up to 227 guests and 106 crew. The largest square-rigged ship in service, it boasts three salt-water swimming pools, a sun deck, restaurant, two bars, fitness suite with sauna, library and lounge.

Bookings include return flights with a choice of regional airports.

Riviera Travel will also operate a new Croatian Coast yacht cruise and stay for 2024. A total of 10 sailings will take place from May to October.

The nine-night Venice, Split & Treasures of the North itinerary comprises a two-night central hotel stay in Venice, with a seven-night cruise aboard the 36-guest MS Stella Maris.

The sailing features visits to Brijuni National Park, the islands of Mali Lošinj and Rab, as well as guided tours of Pula, Šibenik, Zadar and Split.

Earlier in August, Riviera Travel announced that Will Sarson will replace Katja Hildebrandt, who is leaving the business after 16 years, as head of product river and ocean cruise.

Sarson, who is currently the company’s head of product strategy and long haul, will oversee Riviera’s river and ocean cruise itineraries, including planning new routes and developing current programmes.
