Stuart Perl has left his role as UK and Ireland managing director of Riverside Luxury Cruises after a year at the company.
Perl joined the new luxury river line in November 2022 following a brief hiatus from the travel industry while he worked as a consultant for an investment firm.
He was appointed by parent company Seaside Collection to lead the brand’s UK venture into the luxury river cruise market with the acquisition of Crystal Cruises’ Mozart.
“As an unknown entrant into the river cruise arena, brand awareness was essential and sales and marketing campaigns were agreed with trade and consumer publications as well as database initiatives with our travel agency partners,” Perl wrote on his LinkedIn profile.
Riverside Luxury Cruises’ ‘success firmly established’
Describing the role as “hard work, rewarding and fun”, Perl is now seeking a new position in travel. “I’m ready to go again,” he added, urging those in travel “who may be hampered by your own lack of in-house resource to progress special projects” to reach out.
“Teamwork, valuing one’s co-workers and integrity have always proved to be my recipe for success and this project at Riverside Luxury Cruises has been no exception,” he continued.
He thanked the line’s travel agent, consortia, tour operator and media partners for their support of the brand in recent months.
Riverside Luxury Cruises appointed former AmaWaterways national sales manager Jon Knight as its UK and Ireland head of sales earlier this year after it grew its fleet with four additional vessels.
