Agents can now make bookings on the cruise line’s 2021/22 itineraries.

Regent Seven Seas has released its 2021/2022 brochure featuring 146 new ocean voyages, a record 116 overnight stays and 27 new ports of call across Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Africa, Canada, South America and the Caribbean. The sailings, all of which are now available for agents to sell, embark between April 2021 and May 2022.

As well as reintroducing old favourites, the cruise line has launched brand new itineraries for the season, including a 12-night Istanbul to Athens voyage, which marks the first time Regent will set sail to the Black Sea since 2014; a round-trip cruise to Tokyo outside of cherry blossom season, and a Norway and Baltics combined cruise.

“There is a real concept of immersion here,” comments Regent’s  sales director in the UK, Paul Beale. “We truly believe we do it well, particularly with the unlimited shore excursion programme we have. Not only do we have overnights in port, but throughout all of our itineraries we give our guests unlimited shore excursions – it gives them a huge choice of doing what they want, when they want. We have a huge emphasis on immersion.”

To help agents make crucial sales, Regent is offering a reduced 10 per cent deposit for all guests until 30 September 2019. As well as this, the cruise line has also got plenty of material to help travel agents market the itineraries.

“We have our Regent trade hub, which has training modules, where agents can view bitesize videos to immerse themselves in Regent,” explains Beale. “We also have marketing central, which is a repository of information and a huge number of destination videos available. We’ve had a film crew going around the world to produce these videos. These are great for social media and websites.

“Our toolkit has plenty of material for agents to support their work. It’s a really comprehensive toolkit. We are working to drive calls into our travel agent partners, so it’s imperative they are familiar [with what we do].”

The sales director also advises agents to push the itineraries and the shore excursions, as these will no doubt appeal to cruisers and those who are new to cruise. “We are going back to the Black Sea for the first time in six years. It’s only the one cruise, but I’d put money on it that that will sell out quickly,” says Beale. “Our Barbados to Barbados turnaround cruise is new for us. We know from our booking patterns that the eastern and southeastern itineraries sell the quickest. For the UK marketplace, it is a huge opportunity to get into Barbados.”

Regent is renowned for offering a luxury, all-inclusive travel experience. Along with luxurious suites, impeccable service and great cuisine on board, guests will also be able to take advantage of unlimited free shore excursions on all itineraries. As part of the new 2021/2022 season voyages, the cruise line has introduced new shore excursions and immersive land programmes.
