Regent’s Seven Seas Explorer to feature in TV Christmas special

Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ Seven Seas Explorer is to star in a Christmas special on Channel 5.

The show, to be broadcast on 27 December at 8pm, will follow the ship’s head butler, Ronnie, preparing the $10,000 per night Regent Suite for a special private cocktail party, while senior executive chef, Michael, prepares a culinary Christmas surprise for guests.

In addition, viewers will also see cruise director, John, swim with stingrays in the Cayman Islands and fly through the skies of Belize on a zipline.

Seven Seas Explorer was recently the star of a four-part TV documentary, in which viewers were given an intimate look at multiple aspects of the ship and the overall cruise experience.

Speaking in August, Regent Seven Seas Cruises MD EMEA Graham Sadler said: “We are incredibly excited about this documentary, which illustrates the attention to detail, professionalism and hard work that goes into providing the unrivalled experience found on board Seven Seas Explorer, and indeed on each luxurious Regent Seven Seas Cruises ship.”

The 750-guest Seven Seas Explorer is an all-balcony, all-suite ship, featuring five gourmet restaurants. It boasts one of the highest space ratios and highest crew-to-guest ratios in the industry and some of the largest private verandas.

The ship, which joined the Regent fleet in 2016, will return to Europe and the Caribbean throughout 2020. In 2021, Seven Seas Explorer will spend spring and autumn in Asia, with its first summer season in Alaska in between

The new suite category – the approximately 4,500-square foot Regent Suite – comes with a grand Steinway piano, a personal butler and its own in-suite spa and unlimited spa treatments.

Regent will welcome the newest addition to its fleet, Seven Seas Splendorin February 2020. The ship will be christened by supermodel and actor Christie Brinkley at a ceremony in Miami.
