Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ Graham Sadler to retire

Regent Seven Seas Cruises, UK MD on industry return

Regent Seven Seas Cruises has announced that its EMEA MD Graham Sadler has retired following 22 years with the luxury cruise line.

Sadler joined the operator in 2001 and under his leadership the EMEA business “has seen substantial growth”, a statement said.

Caroline Smith, currently vice-president consumer marketing, has been appointed managing director international, as part of the company’s succession plan.

Sadler will continue to serve as corporate secretary for the line’s parent company Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd, a role he has held since 2016.

Regent Seven Seas has also announced that its current chief sales and marketing officer Andrea DeMarco will be succeeding Jason Montague as president.

A ‘privilege’ to work for Regent Seven Seas

Sadler said: “It has been a privilege to lead the Regent Seven Seas Cruises business in EMEA, LATAM and Brazil and I am incredibly proud of all that our team has achieved during my 22 years with the company.

“Together, we have successfully positioned the regions for future growth.

“In announcing my retirement, I do so with full confidence in my colleagues’ ceaseless dedication to deliver an unrivalled experience for both our guests and our travel partners.”

Smith added: “Graham’s extensive experience and guidance has built an enviable operation in the EMEA region, and I look forward to building on this as we deliver our future growth plans around the globe.

“It’s an exciting time to lead our amazing teams in the international markets as we grow our fleet and welcome our newest ship Seven Seas Grandeur to the world’s most luxurious fleet in November 2023.”

DeMarco said: “On behalf of the entire team at Regent Seven Seas Cruises, we congratulate Graham on two decades of success and his exceptional contributions to the company.

“His passion and dedication helped him build a best-in-class team and I am excited to continue working alongside Caroline in her new international role.”
