Princess Cruises will sail its most expansive Japan season ever in 2027 on two Japanese-built sister ships
The 2,760-guest Diamond Princess and Sapphire Princess will offer 78 departures across 50 itineraries from the Tokyo region throughout the season, with voyages ranging from seven to 28 nights.
President of Princess Gus Antorcha said: “This upcoming 2027 season is more than an expansion – it’s a homecoming.
“Our story in Japan has deepened over time and experience and in 2027, we return promising unforgettable experiences, including the renowned Cherry Blossoms, seven spectacular festivals and journeys that immerse you in the awe and wonder of this destination.”
Itineraries include nine-24-night Cherry Blossom voyages, timed to follow the blooming season in Japan, and eight-24-night Festival Cruises celebrating summer festivals like Aomori Nebuta and Tokushima Awa Odori.
Circle and Grand Japan voyages (nine-28 nights) will circumnavigate the country with visits to Osaka, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and Okinawa and Taiwan itineraries (nine-18 nights) explore Okinawa, Taipei and Hualien.
Onboard guests will find regional dishes including noodles and freshly prepared sushi, spirited drinks like fine Japanese whiskies, sake and shochu, and an evening of karaoke and folkloric dancers.
The line will also offer more roundtrip Southampton voyages as part of its 2027 deployment. Majestic Princess will return to the UK after making its debut in Southampton in 2026 to offer domestic itineraries and Northern Europe departures.
Sun, Enchanted, Majestic, Sky, and Caribbean Princess will operate 86 itineraries ranging from seven to 46 days to 108 destinations from February-November 2027.
